This report is about expanding options for personal transportation. In particular, it is about making the changes needed in America's transportation system to encourage greater use of human-powered travel modes. It is about two of the oldest and simplest - and in many ways most intelligent - means of transportation available. ; This Ten-Year Status Report is an update of the Five-Year Status Report released in April 1999. This report identifies the latest data available, and updates progress since 1999. It consists of original material from the 1999 report, revised material, and new material.
