The report is a compilation and analysis of mass transit drug and alcohol testing reported by transit systems in the United States during 1996. The report covers testing results for the following drug types: marijuana (THC), cocaine, phencyclidine (PCP), opiates, and amphetamines. The test types covered are: pre-employment, random, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, return-to-duty, and follow-up. The report also covers testing results for alcohol for the following test types: random, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, return-to-duty, and follow-up.
