Abstract:

This report summarizes proceedings of a Transportation Planning Capacity Building (TPCB) peer exchange hosted by the Northwestern Indiana Regional Planning Commission at its offices in Portage, Indiana, on June 11-12, 2019. The event was sponsored by the TPCB Peer Program, which is jointly funded by the Federal Highway Administration and Federal Transit Administration. The 1.5-day peer exchange featured peers from MetroPlan Orlando and the Wilmington Area Planning Council, who shared their agencies’ perspectives on developing Public Participation Plans and public participation in the metropolitan planning process.
