This report documents the second deployment of the Data Link Test and Analysis System (DATAS) as a Traffic Alert and Collision System (TCAS) monitor. The purpose was to identify aircraft which were reporting Illegal Mode Select (Mode S) ID's. The project was conducted by the Research Directorate for Aviation Technology, Airborne Collision Avoidance & Data Systems Branch, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Technical Center.
