Abstract:The Oregon Department of Transportation is actively trying to preserve these bridges through rehabilitation and cathodic protection. Impressed current cathodic protection is central protection is central to the ODOT's strategy to insure long-lasting repairs. Oregon has demonstrated the potential for preserving historical monuments with cathodic protection which is beginning to be recognized throughout the nation. In response, the Oregon Department of Transportation has created a video in conjunction with the FHWA Local Technical Assistant Program and the Office of Technology Applications.
