Abstract:In the Fall of 2003, the Utah Department of Transportation installed centerline rumble strips on various sections of highway US-6 between Spanish Fork, Utah and Soldier Summit, Utah as well as directly east of Wellington, Utah. Centerline rumble strips are a relatively new technique aimed at reducing the number of cross-over type accidents as occur on rural two-Way, undivided highways.
