• Abstract:
  This report describes operations at SunLine Transit Agency for a prototype fuel cell bus; a prototype hydrogen hybrid internal combustion engine (HHICE) bus; and five new compressed natural gas (CNG) buses. The 5 five new CNG buses are being used as a baseline comparison. This is the third evaluation report for this site, and it describes results and experiences from July 2007 through March 2008. The Department of Energy’s (DOE) National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) is evaluating these buses to help determine the status of hydrogen and fuel cell systems and corresponding hydrogen infrastructure in transit applications.
