Abstract:

This report provides a list of accomplishments from FY 1990 through FY 1996, summarizes the seven-year record of accomplishments and documents the department?s accountability for the commitments made in 1989. During the sevenyear period, $8.36 billion were programmed to improve 8,500 miles of highway and 3,600 bridges on the state and local highway systems. The investments supported approximately 195,000 jobs in the private sector construction industry.
