Abstract:The objective of the research outlined in this presentation was to propose adjacent band transmit power levels that could be tolerated by existing GNSS receivers for civil applications [excluding certified aviation applications, which were considered in a parallel FAA effort]. This could be accomplished through: - An open and transparent approach; - Development of Use Case scenarios; - GNSS Receiver and Antenna Testing – Radiated, Wired, and Antenna characterization; - Development of 1 dB Interference Tolerance Masks (ITMs); - Development of generic transmitter (base station and handheld) scenarios;and, - Inverse and propagation modeling.
