• Abstract:
  This report is the first volume in a series of three volumes. The titles of the three volumes are: I, System Reference Manual; II, Example Problems; and III, Programming Aids. The material in this volume lists and describes the components of the System which include Bridge Design, Structural Inventory, Deck Design and Review. Structural Analysis, Structural Loading, and Girder Section Design and Review. The System consists of a set of 45 computer programs which are flexible and user oriented. The bridge design processes included in these programs adhere to uniform bridge design standards. The programs will work for any State highway organization. This volume, Volume I, describes in detail the coding of the highway bridge structural and loading data for processing by the System's computer programs.
