• Abstract:
  The Intelligent Transportation Systems Program is a comprehensive program aimed at applying advanced technologies to improve the safety and efficiency of our Nation's surface transportation system. The program is organized around four broad areas: metropolitan and rural travel management systems, commercial vehicle operations, and intelligent vehicle ; initiatives. The program involves extensive research and development, operational testing of ITS systems and services and the fostering of actual ITS deployment. This report contains Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) Field Operational Test Summaries. Each summary contains the following: Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Contact (office and phone number); Project description; Test status or test results; Test partners; and References.
