• Abstract:
  The purpose of this manual is to provide the reader with sufficient information to successfully place a polyester styrene polymer concrete overlay on a bridge deck. Although the binder is a resin, no detailed knowledge of polymer chemistry is needed to proportion, mix, place, and finish the product. ; Attention is directed to the safety instructions which are included for use when handling the chemicals. It is advisable to review them along with the manufacturers' recommendations for storage and handling before chemicals are ordered. ; Supplementing the information directed toward polymer concrete overlays for bridge decks, Appendix C provides recommended procedures for using polymer concrete for patching Portland cement concrete.
