  The purpose of this report is to meet the requirements set forth by the Code of Federal Regulations, ; Part 420—Planning and Research Program Administration—420.117 2(e): ; “Suitable reports that document the results of activities performed with FHWA planning and research funds ; must be prepared by the State DOT or subrecipient and submitted for approval by the FHWA Division Administrator prior to ; publication. The FHWA Division Administrator may waive this requirement for prior approval. The FHWA’s approval of reports ; constitutes acceptance of such reports as evidence of work performed but does not imply endorsement ; of a report’s findings or recommendations. Reports prepared for FHWA-funded work must include ; appropriate credit references and disclaimer statements.”
