Abstract:

This report provides a convenient reference for transportation statistics in New York State. The focus of the document is on demographic and related travel measures which, for the convenience of the user, are summarized under one cover. Most of the information presented was obtained from the 1990 Census, the 1993 Commodity Flow Survey, the 1995 National Personal Transportation Survey (NPTS), the 1994-95 Transborder Surface Freight Transportation Data and the 1995 Highway Statistics published by the Federal Highway Administration. Thus 1995 was selected as the most common year for comparative purposes, though more recent data may be available in a few instances. 48 p.
