Raytheon Company completed the Head-up Display (HUD) Development Program under a Cooperative Agreement with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in support of NHTSA's collision avoidance research program. The focus of the effort was to investigate new methods and technologies related to the development of automotive head-up displays and to develop an improved, production-realistic prototype HUD capable of supporting night-driving applications and operating reliably in the automotive environment.
