Mid-America Regional Council, the designated Metropolitan Planning Organization for the Kansas City Metropolitan Area, performed a Small Sample Travel Survey for the Kansas City region to collect data to update the MARC travel demand models. The results of the travel survey will be compared to and combined with information from the 1990 Census and one earlier study of employee travel behavior in the College Boulevard employment center. The counties included in this study were Cass, Clay, Jackson and Platte Counties in Missouri together with Johnson, Leavenworth, and Wyandotte Counties in Kansas. Summary demographics are provided in comparison with travel days monitored in the study.
