Abstract:This report has been prepared in response to language in Senate Report 101-121 on the Department of Transportation and Related Agencies Appropriations Act for FY 1990. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) was requested to study the feasibility of establishing regional air-cargo airports to relieve congestion at major airports in the immediate area. The study was to include the impact of an air freight and cargo operations facility to alleviate congestion and thereby increase capacity at the major airports in the Washington, D.C., area. This area includes Washington Dulles International Airport, Washington National Airport, and Baltimore/Washing-ton International Airport. Report of the Federal Aviation
Administration Pursuant to Senate Report 101-121 Accompanying the Department of Transportation and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 1990.
