Abstract:This report summarizes the presentations, key themes, and recommendations identified at a Regional Models of Cooperation peer exchange on October 24, 2016 in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Utah Transit Authority hosted peers from the Los Angeles Metropolitan Transit Authority (LA Metro) and the Mid-America Regional Council. The purpose of the peer exchange was to share best practices in working across jurisdictions to improve connections between bicycle and pedestrian facilities and transit. Regional Models of Cooperation is a program of the FHWA Every Day Counts 3 (EDC-3) initiative, co-led by the FHWA Office of Planning and the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Office of Planning.
