Abstract:

On June 22, 2001, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) issued Safety ; Recommendation P-0 1-2, which recommended that the U.S. Department of Transportation’s ; (U.S. DOT’S) Research and Special Programs Administration (RSPA) require that excess flow ; valves (EFVs) be installed in all new or renewed natural gas services that are compatible with readily available EFVS.’ This report examines whether NTSB’s recommended requirement ; would be cost-beneficial.
