This report presents findings of a combined analytical and experimental research program to: (1) determine the effect of independent variation of the vertical and longitudinal position of the upper anchor point of the Volkswagen Rabbit on the perfomance of the restraint system for occupants ranging in size from a 6 yr. old to a 95th percentile adult male, and (2) to design and develop a vertically adjusable upper anchroage for the VW passive belt and evalaute the perfomance in impact sled tests.
