This report provides an overview of the historic and current visitation, infrastructure, and transportation conditions related to Monomoy National Wildlife Refuge and the surrounding areas in Chatham, MA. The study defines transportation-related goals for the refuge and study area, and identifies many potential solutions, grouped into the following categories: Multi-Modal Engineering Improvements; Vehicular Parking Improvements; Transit Service; Signage, Wayfinding, and Information; and Other Visitor Access. These specific potential solutions were then grouped and analyzed as alternative scenarios that could accomplish study goals in a variety of ways. The analysis supports the Monomoy Comprehensive Conservation Plan, which is currently in progress; all NEPA compliance will be conducted as part of the Comprehensive Conservation Plan.
