• Description:
  The Fixing America's Surface Transportation Act (Pub. L. No. 114-94) (2018) established the Advanced Transportation and Congestion Management Technologies Deployment (ATCMTD) Program to make competitive grants for the deployment of advanced transportation technologies. The law directs that beginning 3 years after the first grant award and annually thereafter, the Secretary of Transportation shall post a report about the ATCMTD Program (23 United States Code § 503(c)(4)(G)) on the U.S. Department of Transportation website. The report should provide credible, useful information on the effectiveness of grantees in meeting their projected deployment plans, as well as findings on the safety, mobility, environmental impacts, operational efficiency, and other impacts of the technology deployments. This report represents the fifth report. It provides overviews of fiscal years 2016-2021 ATCMTD projects and describes the findings from one completed project. This report also highlights performance measures grantees are using, as well as grantee insights and lessons learned regarding their technology deployments.
