Abstract:

This final rule prescribes policies, requirements, and procedures relating to Federal-aid highway projects from the time of authorization to proceed to the construction stage, to the time of final acceptance by the FHWA. The regulations are being revised to accommodate several policy changes and to clarify and simplify the regulatory requirements pertaining to the contracting for Federal-aid highway construction.
