Abstract:This data set contains experimental and computational results from a multi‑phase study evaluating SEAHIVE® structures as scour mitigation countermeasures for bridge monopile foundations. The files include laboratory flume measurements for single vertical SEAHIVE units, grouped horizontal SEAHIVE configurations at multiple spacings, and corresponding circular monopile control tests, as well as case setup information for the two‑phase numerical modeling framework used in the associated SEAHIVE report, conference presentations, and journal publications. Together, these data support analysis of clear‑water scour development, equilibrium scour depth and volume, bed morphology, and near‑bed hydraulic behavior under different SEAHIVE geometric and spacing configurations, and they provide the basis for validating high‑fidelity SedFOAM/OpenFOAM simulations against physical experiments. This study was funded by the U.S. Department of Transportation through the Coastal REsearch and Transportation Education University Transportation Center under Grant Award Number 69A3552348330.
