A transport airplane Controlled Impact Demonstration (CID) test is analyzed with program KRASH. Prior to modeling the test condition, supporting analysis of both narrow-body and wide-body transport airplane frame segments were modeled with KRASH and compared to existing test results. The results of the analysis are utilized as input data for the KRASH CID model. Prior to the CID test a narrowbody transport airplane was impacted with the ground, via a free fall drop, to obtain structure crush and damage data. KRASH modeling of this test was used to refine the CID KRASH model. The CID KRASH model is exercised to obtain anticipated floor accelerations, underside crush, fuselage forces, and deflections. All KRASH modeling is performed utilizing current enhancement features. The latest KRASH85 input-output format is described in a separate report.
