This training is part of a continuing educational series designed for tribal governments offering modules in transportation planning, transportation programming, intergovernmental relations, and safety and asset management. The goal of this module is to identify funding programs and strategies that will assist Tribal governments with their transportation planning. The module should be used as a reference guide. It contains detailed information on thirty‐six (36) federal funding programs and the eligibility criteria for each. Sections include: Federal Lands Highway Program programs; Federal-Aid Highway programs; Public transportation programs; Alternative funding programs; Innovative project finance techniques. In addition, the appendix includes a case study describing the infrastructure projects of the Jamestown S'Klallam Tribe and how they were funded.
