Abstract:This final report presents the findings, conclusions, and recommendations of the study conducted to develop a model to predict pedestrian volumes using small sampling schemes. This research produced four pedestrian volume prediction models (i.e., 1-, 2-, 3-, and 4-hour models) using 5-, 10-, 15-, and 30-minute volume counts. These volume count~ b~st predicted the hour and multihour volumes when sampled at the midpoint of the' sampling period. A validation study was conducted to determine the level of accuracy of the models. Recommendations for further research are suggested to investigate the validity and reliability of the developed models using data from other cities.
