Abstract:

An evaluation of selected Flight Service Automation System (FSAS) Model 2 functions was conducted at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Technical Center. Selected weather and flight data messages were extracted from the FSAS Model 2 specifications (FAA-2684, Volume II, Model 2 Software) and programmed into a system designed to simulate the specifications.
