This video describes the five components of intelligent vehicle highway systems (ATMS, ATIS, APTS, CVO, AVCS). By utilizing advanced technologies in the computer, control and communications fields, IVHS has the potential to ameliorate traffic congestion and improve traffic safety on the nation's highways.
