• Abstract:
  This report is the thirs in a series describing the development of performance measures pertaining to the security of the maritime transportation network (port security metrics). THe development of measures to guide improvements in maritime security is particularly timely, as large sums of money are currently being devoted to security, while attempts to create meaningful performance-based indicators applicable to ports continue to present a challenge. Where measures do exist, it is important to continually refine them by refining assumptions to more accurately reflect the real world.
