Abstract:Established in 2016, the Roadside Safety Pooled Fund Program TPF 5(343) facilitated collaborative research among State Departments of Transportation (DOTs) to address challenges related to roadside safety features. The program prioritized research to support State DOTs in the implementation of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Manual for Assessing Safety Hardware (MASH). Research addressing shared roadside safety concerns of the participating DOTs was performed under the pooled fund program. This report provides brief summaries of the research projects carried out under the pooled fund program, along with links to the final reports documenting the details of the individual research projects.
