Abstract:

This is the documentation manual for the TEM/RECAP Control Program (TRCP). TEM/RECAP is a computer model consisting of two parts. TEM is a computer model that simulates physical train operations for the purpose of predicting fuel consumption and other train performance factors. RECAP obtains the outputs from TEM and determines the financial benefit of using different fuel-saving II train operation alternatives.
