  Twenty-three different asphalt binders were tested in the laboratory and were tested in the laboratory and were classified following the SHRP binder specification system. The rheological properties of the binders were evaluated using the Rheometrics Asphalt Analyzer (RAA) device and the Bending Beam Rheometer. All the rheological data pertaining to all binders and the procedure used to grade them are presented. Several of the binders are classified under the AC grading system as polymerized AC-20 (AC-20P). The rheological properties, however, indicate that some of these binders would be graded differently under the SHRP grading system. The report examines these differences and points out the discrepancies within the SHRP grading system. The report also uses the environmental data as generated by the Superpave system and checks the recommended asphalt binder grades against the actual binders used on the project.
