Abstract:

This report is a part of the continuing post-construction evaluation of a sand-asphalt-sulfur field trial on US 77 in Kenedy County, Texas. This evaluation is now eighteen months old. The report contains a brief description of background information, a statement of purpose, a summary of test results, and a brief analysis of the data. Very little distress has been noted in the pavement. However, the test data seems to indicate that the job control asphaltic concrete is performing slightly better than the sand-asphalt-sulfur.
