Abstract:

This document reports on a preiiminary evaluation o f the Buman ; Factors design proposed for a line haul freight locomotive ; cab . The program was conducted using a full scale hard mock-up ; o f the proposed design and the evaluation was provided by engineers ; from the former Penn Central Transportation Company . During the ; program the techniques utilized were evolved to evoke the maximum ; response and cooperation from the various subj ects . In general ; the concept was favorab ly received.
