The primary objective of this study is to develop and incorporate into the Texas Travel Demand Package procedures for downloading a portion of the output from the Package to the selected microcomputer transportation planning package to perform subarea analysis. In order to get compatible results between TRANPLAN and the Texas Trip Distribution Models, it is recommended that the final (or fifth) relative values from MODEL or ATOM be used for the Friction-Factors in the TRANPLAN trip distribution. The modified R-VALUE from ATOM is recommended for the "assumed average" intrazonal impedance of the TRANPLAN separation matrix. The results of the comparison indicated that there are slight differences in the trip tables between TRANPLAN and ATOM, but the differences are of no practical significance. It is recommended that the user-specified V/C time adjustment curve data be used in the TRANPLAN assignment.
