  This report accumulates and consolidates with a single reference source the current state of technology with respect to the materials and application procedures used for temporary pavement markings. A questionnaire survey was administered to various districts in the Texas SDHPT, other state DOT's, suppliers of temporary pavement marking materials, installation contractors and manufacturers. The report also contains a cost-comparison of the various types of pavement marking materials. Installation procedures to combat cold and wet pavement conditions are also discussed.
