Abstract:

The data and results presented in this report are complementary to those reported earlier in m Technical Report 1060-1, Costs of Public Transportation in Texas, 1973-1977. The objective of the study was to analyze the types and sources of revenues available to transit systems in Texas; trends in those revenues; and the amounts and sources of financial assistance (subsidies). Data were collected using a survey form from each of the 14 systems that participated in the cost portion study.
