Abstract:The specific objectives were: (1) to study and compare sections of the highway system constructed with frontage roads to sections constructed without frontage roads in order to determine the relative costs of right of way for sections transversing similar areas, (2) to observe the zone of influence of special benefits as opposed to general benefits as opposed to general benefits on remaining property resulting from highway construction, (3) to note the effect of interchanges and ramps on the value of comparable property abutting the highway, and (4) to develop a consistent approach for appraising the value of access of remainder parcels from right of way acquisition.
