Abstract:The purpose of this study was to evaluate the reliability of using the galvanic skin reflex (GSR) to measure the effects of different lighting designs on driver tension responses. The scope of the study was limited to experimental lighting studies at a rural intersection. Comparisons were made among levels of illumination, among variations in geometric design, and among several driver subjects.
