Abstract:

This report describes the operational and technical evaluation by the Technical Development and Evaluation Center of the Civil Aeronautics Administration of an air-traffic control aid known as the Rho/Theta Transponder System. The system components were developed and constructed by several contractors under contracts with the Bureau of Ships and the Bureau of Aeronautics of the Navy Department.
