• Abstract:
  The U.S. Committee on the Marine Transportation System (CMTS) publishes an annual report as presented by the immediate past chair of the CMTS Coordinating Board. The annual report for August 1, 2022, to July 31, 2023, was produced by MG William “Butch” Graham, Department of Defense (DOD) U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), for his term as Chair. The annual report contains the yearly actions and accomplishments of the committee. The goal of DOD/USACE’s term was “Enhancing Unity of Effort to Strengthen an Efficient, Equitable, and Sustainable Marine Transportation System.” This goal supported the priorities set by the Biden-Harris Administration while aligning with the 2023-2028 National Strategy for the MTS “Cultivating a Resilient and Sustainable Blue Economy,” and ensuring effective coordination of MTS policies to meet national needs.
