• Abstract:
  With traditional vehicles, safety consisted of crashworthiness and electrical/mechanical reliability. Emerging, disruptive technologies such as driver-vehicle interface, driving automation systems, intelligent transportation systems, and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), safety moves from the human to the cyber-physical system. Presenters from SAE International and the University of California, Berkeley discuss the challenge of safety assurance and the process of developing technology standards.
