Abstract:

This report describes an investigation undertaken for the purpose of determining that ultra-high frequencies can be utilized for itinerant aircraft-to-ground communication. Equipment suitable for Itinerant aircraft is described together with characteristics of the airplane antenna. The results of aircraft-to-ground transmission are highly satisfactory ln spite of the low power used.
