The vision of the Data Capture and Management Program (DCM) is active acquisition and systematic provision of integrated, multi-source data to enhance current operational practices and transform future surface transportation systems management. Their work focuses on a connected vehicle program where vehicles collect and exchange data with other vehicles. As that data is being shared, there’s an opportunity for safety applications and improved transit coordination.
