Abstract:

The Transportation Research Thesaurus (TRT) is a controlled vocabulary designed to improve the indexing and retrieval of transportation information. It provides a consistent language to facilitate information search and retrieval. Andy Everett, Metadata and Taxonomy Analyst with the Washington Department of Transportation, and Andrea Zachary, Indexing Manager with Transportation Research Information Services, present an overview of the TRT at this session of the Transportation Librarians Roundtable.
