This is a report of the Maintenance Section of the Construction Division, showing the maintenance status of Federal Aid, Public Works, Works Program, Flood Relief, Federal Lands and Forest Roads in the Continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. The report contains a brief outline of the activities of the section together with descriptions and illustrations of maintenance equipment and methods and practices developed by the State Highway Departments. This report covers the period from January 1 to December 31, 1938, and presents the status of the latter date.
