Abstract:

Curators Megan MacCall and Laura Stroffolino from the Free Library of Philadelphia discuss the development of transportation in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They showed some highlights from “Philadelphia: The Changing City”, an in-person exhibition that they co-curated. They also give some highlights of the 1876 U.S. Centennial Exhibition held in Philadelphia. Digitized collections include 19th and 20th century photos and maps of transportation in Philadelphia.
