Abstract:The primary objective of the study was to investigate how light-vehicle drivers' knowledge of partially automated truck platooning and how different platoon sizes (two- or three-truck platoon) and gap distances (0.6, 0.9, or 1.2 s) between the trucks influence the behavior of light-vehicle drivers entering, exiting, or traveling in the through lanes on the highway.
