  This fact sheet provides information regarding the Transportation Pooled Fund (TPF) Excellence Award Program. For more than 45 years, the Federal Highway Administration’s (FHWA) TPF Program has enabled public and private entities to collaboratively conduct cutting-edge transportation research. Through the TPF Program, participants are able to pool funds and expertise to develop innovative solutions at a lower cost while extending the reach and impact of their research. International participation in the TPF program is welcomed and encouraged. Any country in good standing with the U.S. Government is allowed to participate. The TPF program has partnered with 19 different global partners since 2003.
